BLENDED LEARNING

The lifeguard training course equips participants with the essential knowledge and skills to recognize and prevent aquatic emergencies in both shallow and deep water, as well as to respond to them effectively.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding (including deep water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid, which is valid for 2 years.

  • Minimum age: 15 years
  • Swim-Tread-Swim Sequence:
    • Jump into the water, submerge, and resurface.
    • Swim 150 yards (front crawl, breaststroke, or both).
    • Tread water for 2 minutes (legs only).
    • Swim 50 yards (front crawl, breaststroke, or both).
  • Complete in 1 minute 40 seconds:
    • Start in the water and swim 20 yards.
    • Surface dive (7-12 feet) and retrieve a 10-pound object.
    • Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on your back (holding the object).
    • Exit the water without using a ladder or steps.
