Our Advanced 1 swim lessons build confident, independent swimmers. Kids (ages 5-8) refine freestyle and backstroke, master rotary breathing, and get a first look at breaststroke and butterfly—while growing stamina in 30–60 minute, small-group classes.

Swimmers who have passed Beginner 2 can now swim independently for 4-6 feet and can confidently demonstrate all fundamental skills (submersion, floating, gliding, rolling over, and front crawl). In this class, swimmers will build confidence swimming in deep water and further develop their balance and coordination by refining their freestyle, and backstroke and mastering rotary breathing through engaging drills. Swimmers are introduced to the fundamentals of breaststroke and butterfly and continue to develop stamina by swimming longer distances.
