This course, also known as WSI\u2122, trains American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor candidates to teach Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety courses and presentations. In doing so, candidates develop a strong understanding of course materials, training session conduct, and participant evaluation. Consequently, they become qualified to teach a wide range of courses and presentations, including Parent and Child Aquatics Levels 1 and 2, Preschool Aquatics Levels 1-3, Learn-to-Swim Levels 1-6, three adult courses, Basic Water Rescue, Personal Water Safety, and more.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

Prerequisites:<\/h2><\/i><\/div>

Instructor candidates must be at least 16 years of age on or before the last day of the course. Additionally, they must successfully complete the precourse, which includes a demonstration of swimming skills at Learn-to-Swim Level 4.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
